After so this is texas, the band went through something of a quiet patch. Dani and Alex each toyed with their own ideas, sometimes writing full songs, more often just short "sketches" with the aim of exploring a particular effect. A lot of this work has gone missing, but what could be salvaged has been brought together in this unique collection of offcuts and remixes.

It was also during this period that a number of others got involved in the razorblade oscilloscope project; namely Chris Childs, Oli Furlow, and Simon Amor. For a while, the band experimented with a live, more "rocky" sound, but with its various members scattered at Universities around the country it wasn't to be.

These tracks are rough and unfinished, and as such aren't as enjoyable to listen to as, say, so this is texas, nor as fascinating as something like uneasy listening. Nevertheless, they may provide with some interesting insight into the thought process behind razorblade oscilloscope.
